javascript - Access to readonly Rally account in app displayed outside of rally -


i'm using rally sdk 1.33 display rally apps outside of rally. i've generated rally login key on rally's login key encoder site , have used value so:

    <script type="text/javascript src="https://rally1.rallydev.com/apps/1.26/sdk.js?loginkey=..." />

the problem is, members on scrum team have been getting following error message when trying display .html page:

    "unable login user: ... on https://rally1.rallydev.com/ "

i'm looking way let members of team have access readonly rally account can view html page. know of way without using login key encoder or there else i/my team members need in order access readonly account using login key value? thank you

it unusual users read-only credentials work, , others not. when custom app loaded in browser read-only credentials encoded:

<script type="text/javascript" src="https://rally1.rallydev.com/apps/1.25/sdk.js?loginkey=your login key goes here"></script>

the user matters 1 credentials encoded , used in string.

perhaps there 3rd party authentication issues. mention trying display app outside of rally, app being loaded directly in browser or, example, sharepoint webpart, or in other portal. if it's latter, may want start troubleshooting directly in browser. after it's established works in browser, app can loaded in context of 3rd party portal.

if in scenarios loginkey seems work , in others not i'd guess never works. may appear work when valid user logged in rally in tab of same browser, , using user's credentials , not read-only user's credentials. please verify request going in net tab of chrome's dev tools or firebug of firefox:

it should show loginapirally1.rallydev.com, , not rally1.rallydev.com

finally, couple of points on read-only user:

  1. a read-only user create must have no editor rights project within rally workspace want use loginkey functionality. if have nested project structure please make sure there no projects user has editor rights.

  2. a user used workspace admin , later demoted read-only user not work loginkey. user not recognized loginkey read-only user.

  3. prior accessing encoded page generate encoded string read-only user please log out of rally if logged in rally in tab of same browser editor or administrator credentials. there redundancy there: need login rally read-only credentials, , access encoder page , asked same credentials again.
